Thats in Planet Hollywood! And I was there only when i was there they didin't have any suits only one pack a trap, and the licence plate to Ecto-1A. You are so lucky man I hope you had a great trip!

i know the insides of the firehouse were shot elsewhere , but does hook and ladder 8 have a pole ? ....and if so did they let you slide down it ?

They did indeed have a pole (opposite the GB display) but I didn't think to ask, lol. I have to say, the fireman who spoke to us was extremely polite and friendly (as was everyone in New York come to think of it - first time in America and it was really pleasant )
I thought they'd be a little annoyed at having us there but they posed for photos and whatnot, and were very happy to sell us shirts, lol :D

I was in Manhattan two years ago this coming October and was so bummed I wasn't able to go to Hook & Ladder 8 to take some pics. I was in New York only a month after 9/11 and since they were so close to ground zero it was still somewhat blocked off. What I would have given to have been able to take pics of that firehouse though to show my friends here in Maryland who know how much I love the movies and RGB.

The firemen there are rather proud of their association with the movie, so they never turn away polite fans. When I was there a couple of years ago, the front door was down, but if you go around the side, there's an entrance there. I knocked on it and they actually let me come in. I recommend buying shirts and patches - they're not only cool, but the money goes to charity, so it's nice to give a little something back to the guys who're going out of their way to accomodate us fans.
