Janine Melnitz (Fright Features)
Year: 1988
Points Of Articulation: 5

Along with the onset of the Fright Features line came the onset of the first action figure appearance of the Ghostbusters secretary Janine Melnitz. Yes that’s right this is Janine's first ever appearance as an action figure and she ALMOST didn't make it this time around as she was missing from the line during the initial release but was eventually released with the boys in the 87-88 years. Janine's fright features was her hair would raise, Her eyes AND glasses would bug out and her jaw would drop. Janine also came packaged with the Tease Ray Weapon along with the only Ghost in the line to EVER feature real hair the Tickler Ghost. The Ghost interacted with the action figure's miniweapon by the weapon coming through the Ghost's hair and getting tangled in it.

The Infamous Fright Features line. Quick rundown on the Fright Features line: You pull the right arm down and this activates a feature on the GB That supposed to look like the Ghostbusters are shrieking in Terror from a Ghost. Trouble is that the mechanisms used in the system weren't strong enough to withstand the torque placed upon them. This led to one of the most prone to breaking GB Action figures in history.

It's Janine, with her legendary glasses. I had to use this figure to play her critical roll in the saga of the RGBs.

She shoulda came with a reception area base. I mean, that's all she basically did for the vast majority of episodes, right?
